How to attach wires to a circuit board without soldering?

I'm rapidly firing my Xbox controller, and my sauntering iron broke. It would be cheaper to pay the extra money to buy a modded controller than to replace the iron, so I wondered if I could somehow attach the wires without soldering.

Do not try to attach the wires without soldering. A "cold solder joint" can cause problems as the current, no matter how small, sparks across the joint, and without soldering, you have something worse than a cold solder joint. Go to Radio Shack and pick up a cheap soldering iron.

You should probably get rid of the swap purely via heating up the joints and pulling on the pins. There is incredibly no thank you to get the solder off there without some device to tug it off the solder joint. Whether or no longer it is incredibly a desoldering braid, desoldering bulb, or possibly a basic piece of copper twine to tug the solder from the joint.

If you can get the wire hot enough, but I have bought cheap irons for about 2 bucks before, I would suggest doing that.
